Ikenga Ugochinyere, the member representing Ideato North/South Federal Constituency of Imo State in the House
of Representatives has urged the Nigerian Federal Government to deal with the terror of hunger and hyperinflation in the country.
Ugochinyere was reacting to the invitation of the Nigerian Labour President, NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero by the police over alleged criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion, and cybercrime.
The lawmaker urged the Nigeria Police to channel their energy on curbing the worsening insecurity in the country.
Ajaero’s invitation letter was signed by Adamu Mu’azu, an assistant commissioner of police.
It shows that Ajaero is expected at the intelligence response team complex in Abuja.
Reacting to the invitation, Ugochinyere, the spokesperson of the opposition coalition lawmakers stated that it was clear to everyone that the NLC President did not commit any terrorism or murder.
While recalling that he had been through such situations, he called for the invitation to be withdrawn, adding that any move by the police to detain Ajaero
might lead to another nationwide protest.
