Joni Lamb, the influential Christian broadcaster and president of the Daystar Television Network, has died at the age of 65, the network confirmed Thursday.

According to an official statement released by Daystar, Lamb died following ongoing serious health complications that were worsened by a back injury.

The network said Lamb had been privately battling significant medical challenges for some time before her condition deteriorated in recent days despite extensive medical care and global prayers from supporters.

In its statement, Daystar described Lamb as a fearless and deeply committed faith leader who dedicated her life to spreading the Christian gospel worldwide through television ministry.

The Daystar Board of Directors said they were grieving her loss while celebrating the lasting legacy of faith and ministry she leaves behind.

Joni Lamb co-founded Daystar Television Network alongside her late husband, Marcus Lamb, in 1993. The network began as a single Christian television station in the Dallas–Fort Worth area before growing into one of the world’s largest Christian broadcasting networks.

According to Daystar, the network now reaches billions of homes globally through satellite systems and cable providers.

Following Marcus Lamb’s death in 2021, Joni Lamb continued leading the ministry and remained actively involved in television programming and executive leadership.

Over her four-decade broadcasting career, she became widely known for hosting the faith-based talk show “Joni Table Talk,” which focused on discussions about Christianity, family, and current events. She also co-hosted the program “Ministry Now!” alongside members of her family.

Daystar said Lamb had already worked with its board to ensure leadership continuity within the organization, adding that programming would continue uninterrupted while on-air tributes are planned in the coming days.

Joni Lamb remarried in 2023 to Dr. Doug Weiss and is survived by her three children, Jonathan Lamb, Rachel Lamb, and Rebecca Lamb Weiss.

Her family has requested prayers and privacy during this difficult period.
