What began as a promising “Lunch & Learn” Workshop has now concluded as an inspiring and impactful gathering for entrepreneurs, students, and business professionals in Winnipeg. Hosted by Manitoba Innovates and organized by Outreach Genius, “The ADHD Founder’s Unfair Advantage: Stop Fighting Your Brain” delivered on its promise—equipping attendees with practical tools to turn ideas into executed AI-powered systems without coding.

The workshop focused on a simple but powerful concept: transforming ideas into functional products using AI by leveraging natural thinking patterns, particularly for individuals with ADHD. By the end of the workshop, the room was filled with energy, as participants were not only learning—but already thinking about what they would build next.

Founder’s Perspective: Turning Vision into Action

Speaking after the event, David Owasi, founder of Outreach Genius—a platform that supports home service businesses—shared his excitement about the outcome. He explained that the goal of the program is to demonstrate how ideas can move from concept to execution using AI tools, even without traditional coding skills.

According to him, the response from participants exceeded expectations. Attendees were highly engaged and eager to begin building their own products immediately after the session.

Looking ahead, he highlighted the next step for participants: joining a dedicated learning community where they can continue developing their ideas. This platform will provide ongoing guidance, helping individuals understand what to do and how to effectively use AI tools to bring their concepts to life.

He also expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who attended, emphasizing that their enthusiasm made the event a success.

Voices from Participants

The workshop attracted a diverse group of attendees, each bringing unique goals and perspectives.

Aaron, a third-year student aspiring to study interior design at the University of Manitoba, attended the session to broaden his entrepreneurial knowledge. Beyond academics, he is working toward building a future venture focused on creating accessible, “legal-free” business opportunities where young people can learn practical skills. He described the program as highly valuable, noting that he learned a lot and gained insights that will support his journey as a future founder.

For Wendy Yan, a senior business management developer at Futurepreneur, the event aligned closely with her professional mission. She attended to better understand how AI tools can be used to support founders in building and scaling their businesses. Given her role in mentoring young entrepreneurs, the knowledge gained will directly impact how she guides others. She also expressed strong admiration for David Owasi, describing him as an expert and stating how proud she is of his work.

Entrepreneurs in the real estate sector also found the session particularly useful. Karl De La Cruz, owner and founder of Karl Maverick Group, a real estate investment company, shared that the program sparked numerous ideas that he plans to implement within his real estate business.

Similarly, Ilia Usach, founder of Aspire Estates Inc, who is also a real estate investment professional, noted that the workshop helped him overcome challenges he previously faced when trying to integrate AI into his operations. After attending, he now has a clearer direction on how to apply AI solutions effectively in his company.

A Practical Shift Toward AI-Driven Entrepreneurship

The event underscored a growing trend in entrepreneurship: the shift from idea-heavy thinking to rapid execution using accessible AI tools. By removing technical barriers, programs like this are enabling more people—regardless of background—to participate in building scalable solutions.

More importantly, the workshop reframed ADHD not as a limitation but as a strategic advantage when paired with the right systems. Instead of forcing traditional productivity methods, participants were encouraged to build workflows that align with how they naturally think.

What Comes Next

With strong feedback and visible impact, the workshop marks just the beginning of a larger initiative to empower founders through AI. The introduction of a follow-up learning community ensures that participants won’t be left to figure things out alone but will instead receive structured support as they build.

As the event concluded, one thing was clear: the combination of AI tools, practical guidance, and an inclusive approach to different thinking styles has the potential to reshape how the next generation of entrepreneurs brings ideas to life.
