Costco has issued a recall for certain pizza kits sold across Canada due to concerns about potential mould growth, prompting a warning to consumers not to use or consume the affected products.

The recall specifically targets Gino Bambino Gluten Free Pizza Kits, sold both in Costco warehouse stores and online between December 2025 and April 2026. The affected product carries the Costco item number 1974721.

According to the manufacturer, Molinaro’s Fine Italian Foods, only kits with best-before dates of April 22 and April 28, labeled as 2026 AL 22 and 2026 AL 28, are included in the recall.

In its advisory, Costco urged customers to immediately stop consuming, serving, selling, or distributing the recalled pizza kits. Consumers are advised to return the products to any Costco warehouse location for a full refund.

The company also issued an apology for the inconvenience, emphasizing its commitment to customer safety and product quality.

Food recalls related to contamination or spoilage risks are taken seriously, as mould growth can pose potential health concerns if consumed. Customers who have purchased the affected items are encouraged to check packaging details carefully and act promptly.
