Instead, the squad turned to a now-famous alternative symbol—a porcelain cockatoo that has become an unexpected club talisman.
The unusual tradition dates back to last season under head coach Vincent Kompany, when the decorative bird first appeared during title celebrations. The ornament, originally taken from a Munich restaurant during a team gathering, quickly became part of the club’s folklore after being embraced by players and later gifted to the team.
Midfielder Leon Goretzka once again lifted the cockatoo in place of the Meisterschale, reinforcing its status as a quirky but meaningful symbol of Bayern’s dominance.
