Nigeria’s chief of defence staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, says the military will go after crude oil thieves to restore full production.

Speaking to Aso Villa state house journalists after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, Musa said the days of perpetrators involved in infrastructure destruction and crude oil theft are numbered.
Nigeria’s average daily crude oil production increased to 1.27 million barrels per day (bpd) in June.
He also warned that culprits would face retaliation from the military.
The CDS noted the need for collective effort to achieve success and called on all stakeholders, including states and communities, to work together to restore full production.
Musa acknowledged the challenges faced by communities, assuring that the president would address the issues to ensure uninterrupted oil production.
He said Tinubu is aware of the concerns of communities affected by oil production and has vowed to address their grievances.
