Report just reaching swifteradio.com indicates that members of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria also known as Shiites have resumed their protest.
The site of the protest march is in Nasarawa State, North central Nigeria.
The Protesters took over the Abuja Keffi Express way which is the main Entrance to Nigeria’s Capital city, Abuja.
Some of the protesters said they are seeking for justice for some of their members who were allegedly killed by soldiers and police men at a rally.
Founded by Ibrahiim El Zakzaky in the late 1970s anpd inspired by the Iranian Revolution, Shiites make up a small minority of Muslim believers in mainly Sunni northern Nigeria and has been at loggerheads with Nigeria’s authorities for decades.
