(VIDEO) Senate Adjourns In Honour of Late Akinremi

The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday mourned the passing of Hon. Olaide Odewale Akinremi, a member of the House of Representatives.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker, who represented the Ibadan-North Federal Constituency of Oyo State, died in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness. He was 52 years old.
Before the suspension of legislative activities, Senate Leader Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele informed his colleagues that the Senate had received communication from the House of Representatives notifying them of Hon. Akinremi’s passing.
After observing one minute of silence in honour of the dead, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio adjourned plenary to Thursday, July 11, 2024.
Also, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen conveyed his deep sorrow over Akinremi’s death.
