Sean “Diddy” Combs Faces New Allegations of Jury Tampering and Witness Manipulation While in Federal Custody

Federal prosecutors have alleged that Sean “Diddy” Combs is attempting to obstruct justice in his sex trafficking and racketeering case, even from within the confines of Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. According to a new court filing, Combs allegedly used other inmates’ phone accounts to avoid monitoring and reach unauthorized contacts. Prosecutors claim he paid these inmates through intermediaries, violating facility rules.

Additionally, Combs is accused of orchestrating social media efforts to sway public opinion, aiming to taint the potential jury pool. The court documents also describe how Combs attempted to reach witnesses and accusers through third-party contacts, aiming to pressure them into supporting his defense.

Prosecutors highlighted Combs’ continued efforts to influence the case, including orchestrating social media posts through family members to promote his innocence. They argue that Combs’ inability to adhere to detention rules signals he would likely disregard bail conditions if released.

This latest filing follows two previously denied bail requests, with Combs’ defense proposing a new bail package. It includes a $50 million bond, home detention with GPS monitoring, and limited visitor access. However, prosecutors maintain that Combs has not provided new evidence that would justify a third bail hearing, claiming he “rehashes” previous arguments that have already been dismissed by the court.
