Police Investigate Fatal Railway Incident Involving Elderly Woman in Southern Manitoba

Winnipeg, MB – Authorities are currently investigating the tragic death of a 78-year-old woman at a railway crossing in southern Manitoba.

RCMP reported responding to an incident Sunday afternoon in La Broquerie, where a pedestrian was struck by a train. Officers confirmed that the woman, a resident of Winnipeg, was declared dead at the scene.

La Broquerie, located approximately 70 kilometers southeast of Winnipeg, was the site of this unfortunate accident.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to determine the circumstances leading to the fatality.
