Man Dies After Fall During Concert at Madison Square Garden

A 51-year-old Connecticut man died after falling from an upper-level section of Madison Square Garden during a concert in New York City on Saturday night, authorities confirmed.

According to the New York City Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 9:51 p.m. and discovered the man unconscious and unresponsive with injuries consistent with a fall from an elevated position inside the iconic venue. The victim was identified as Paul Kueker of Niantic, Connecticut.

Police said Kueker was seated in Section 300 and was attending the concert with his wife. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators have not disclosed the exact distance of the fall, but authorities stated that foul play is not suspected. The incident remains under investigation.

The accident occurred while the American rock band Goose was performing. In a statement shared on Facebook, the band expressed its condolences, saying it was “deeply saddened and heartbroken” to learn of the tragic event.

The incident has shocked concertgoers and raised concerns about safety at large entertainment venues as authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the fatal fall.
