Legendary Guitarist Jake E. Lee Shot Multiple Times in Las Vegas, Expected to Make Full Recovery
Veteran rock guitarist Jake E. Lee, best known for his iconic work with Ozzy Osbourne, was shot multiple times early Tuesday morning in Las Vegas while walking his dog. According to a statement from his representative, Lee, 67, is currently in intensive care but fully conscious and expected to recover.
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department responded to the incident around 2:42 a.m. on Alora Street, where Lee was found with gunshot wounds. Authorities believe the shooting to be a random act. While the investigation is still ongoing, no arrests have been made.
Lee’s career spans decades, beginning with his time as the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne in the 1980s. He later founded the heavy metal group Badlands and, in 2013, formed Red Dragon Cartel.
