Critical Condition for Woman Struck by School Bus in Toronto’s East End

A woman is in critical and life-threatening condition after being struck by a school bus in Toronto’s east end on October 9, 2024. The incident occurred just after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Kingswood and Kingston Roads, west of Victoria Park Avenue. Emergency crews quickly responded and transported the woman to the hospital with serious injuries.

Details surrounding the collision are still unclear, and Kingston Road was temporarily closed between Scarborough Road and Bingham Avenue for the investigation, although it has since reopened.

This incident is part of a troubling pattern, as Toronto police also responded to two other collisions the same afternoon. Around 4:25 p.m., a motorcycle and another vehicle collided at Lake Shore Boulevard West and Third Street, resulting in serious but non-life-threatening injuries for a male motorcyclist. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and the cause of the collision is under investigation.

Additionally, around 5:20 p.m., another crash involving an e-bike and a vehicle occurred near Keele Street and Saint Regis Crescent, with a male rider transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
