According to the agency, the recall was triggered by a consumer complaint, and there have since been reports of adverse reactions linked to the consumption of the affected ice cream.
The impacted 500ml product carries the Universal Product Code (UPC) 627987197297. Authorities are urging consumers to check their purchases and take immediate precautions if they have the recalled items.
The CFIA warned that consuming the product could pose serious or life-threatening risks for individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities. Consumers are advised not to eat the ice cream and instead discard it or return it to the store where it was purchased.
