Africa’s largest oil refinery has opened a new route into public ownership, giving retail investors access to one of Nigeria’s most closely watched companies.
The offer
AP reported that Dangote’s refinery launched an IPO valued at about $1.6 billion, with a minimum retail bundle priced at 5,250 naira and Dangote retaining control.
Why investors are watching
The refinery is strategically important to Nigeria because it can reduce reliance on imported petroleum products and support exports, but investors still need to assess valuation, earnings, debt and governance.
