Mikaël Kingsbury Secures Third Crystal Globe with Dominant Dual Moguls Win in Italy

Canadian freestyle skiing legend Mikaël Kingsbury capped off his season with a commanding victory in the dual moguls event in Livigno, Italy. The 32-year-old from Deux-Montagnes, Que., clinched gold in Wednesday’s big final, securing his third Crystal Globe of the season.

Having already locked in the season titles for moguls and overall standings, Kingsbury’s latest win brought his total to 544 points, sealing the dual moguls title. Japan’s Ikuma Horishima was the only contender who could have surpassed him, but his silver-medal finish left him 104 points behind the Canadian. Sweden’s Filip Gravenfors claimed bronze and finished third in the dual moguls season rankings.

This victory marked Kingsbury’s 99th career World Cup gold, concluding his season with 13 medals—nine golds and four silvers—across 16 World Cup events.

On the women’s side, Saskatoon’s Maia Schwinghammer exited in the 1/8th final against eventual gold medallist Charlotte Wilson of Australia. American Jaelin Kauf secured silver, while France’s Perrine Laffont earned bronze.
