Zelenskyy Declares Ukrainians Remain Unbroken on Fourth Anniversary of Russia’s Full-Scale Invasion

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has declared that Ukraine remains resilient and unbroken as the country marked four years since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. His remarks came during commemorations honoring those who have died, fought, and endured hardship since the conflict escalated dramatically in 2022.

In a national address, Zelenskyy emphasized the strength and unity of the Ukrainian people, stating that despite years of war, destruction, and loss, Russia has failed to destroy Ukraine’s spirit or independence. He praised soldiers on the front lines, civilians supporting the war effort, and families who have endured displacement and hardship.

The invasion, ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, triggered Europe’s largest armed conflict since World War II. Since then, Ukraine has defended its territory with the help of Western military and financial support, while millions of civilians have been forced to flee their homes or seek refuge abroad.

Commemorations across Ukraine included moments of silence, memorial ceremonies, and tributes to fallen soldiers. In the capital city of Kyiv, officials gathered to honor those who lost their lives and reaffirm the country’s determination to continue resisting Russian aggression.

Zelenskyy also expressed gratitude to Ukraine’s international allies, noting that continued support has played a crucial role in sustaining the country’s defense capabilities. Western governments have provided weapons, humanitarian assistance, and economic aid, helping Ukraine stabilize its economy and maintain military resistance.

Despite ongoing fighting in eastern and southern regions, Ukrainian officials say their armed forces remain determined to defend national sovereignty. The war has caused widespread destruction of infrastructure, including homes, power systems, and transportation networks, while reshaping global security dynamics.

International leaders have also issued statements marking the anniversary, reiterating support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity. Analysts say the conflict has had far-reaching geopolitical consequences, influencing energy markets, defense policies, and diplomatic relations worldwide.

As the war enters its fifth year, Zelenskyy reaffirmed Ukraine’s long-term resolve. He said that while the country has endured immense suffering, its people remain united in their pursuit of freedom, independence, and peace.
