Originally from Nigeria, Yemi Mobolade immigrated to the United States at 17, pursuing the American Dream through education. He earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and computer information systems from Bethel University in Indiana, followed by master’s degrees in management and leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University and theology-intellectual leadership from A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary at Simpson University in California.
Relocating to Colorado Springs in 2010, Mobolade quickly became a community leader. As a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, he helped establish a church. Seeing the need for cultural gathering spaces downtown, he co-founded The Wild Goose Meeting House in 2013, making a significant entrepreneurial investment post-Great Recession.
His passion for community collaboration led him to serve as director of outreach and engagement at First Presbyterian Church, where he co-founded COSILoveYou, a nonprofit uniting over 100 local churches in service efforts. Continuing his vision for inclusive spaces, he co-founded Good Neighbors Meeting House in 2017 in the Patty Jewett neighborhood.
Around this time, Mobolade transitioned into city leadership as vice president of business retention and expansion at the Colorado Springs Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. He played a pivotal role in supporting local businesses and fostering job growth.
In 2019, he joined the City of Colorado Springs as a small business development administrator, launching entrepreneur-focused tools like COSOpenForBiz.com and Permit Partner, strengthening public-private sector collaboration.
