Xavier Trudeau, Son of PM Justin Trudeau, Debuts Music with ‘Til The Nights Done’

Xavier Trudeau, the 17-year-old son of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire, is set to release his debut song, ‘Til The Nights Done,’ in the coming weeks. The official music video will debut on Xavier’s personal YouTube channel on February 21, with the track also available for download on all major music platforms.

Joey Boyer, co-founder of Ottawa-based Pathway Music Group, shared with CTVNews.ca that Xavier’s musical inspiration comes from a lifetime of experiences, and he has always had a passion for creating music. Boyer explained that Xavier aims to bring a fresh perspective to the R&B genre, aiming to resonate with youth through his unique sound and lyrical content. His style is described as dark, ambient R&B with subtle balladic elements, influenced by aspiring artists worldwide.

Boyer also noted that Xavier’s music is often compared to fellow Canadian artists such as Justin Bieber and Drake, as well as the sounds of Don Toliver and Post Malone.

A sneak peek of the upcoming music video was shared last week on Xavier’s Instagram account, featuring the lyrics “we could roll sum, we could light one,” along with a promotion for the release date. Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, Xavier’s mother, showed her support by commenting, “Good work guys!”

According to Boyer, this is just the beginning. Xavier is expected to release many more songs and projects soon, with plans for collaborations, live performances, and potentially a tour later this year.
