Winnipeg Man Arrested After High-Speed Crash That Destroyed Guardrail and Building

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shocking October crash in Winnipeg, where a 2009 Dodge Charger SRT8, reaching speeds of 213 km/h, smashed into a hydro pole, guardrail, street sign, and a building before stopping.

The crash occurred around 2 a.m. on Oct. 15 along St. Mary’s Road near Morier Avenue, where the speed limit is 60 km/h. Despite the violent impact, police say it was miraculous that no one was injured. The vehicle damaged Midland Appliance World, and the two occupants fled the scene before authorities arrived.

After an investigation, police arrested the suspect at his home on Monday. He faces a charge of dangerous driving.
