The Islamic movement of Nigeria, has dismissed claims by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT police command that its members attacked a Police Checkpoint which led to the death of two police personnel leaving three others critically injured.
A member of the Movement Abdullahi Musa spoke exclusively with News Central television saying that their members were attacked at the popular Wuse market in Abuja as they took part in their annual Arbaen trek, a religious activity performed by the movement.
Musa says that claims that their members carried matches and other dangerous weapons are false and frivolous and an attempt by the Nigerian Police to swing the narrative in their favour.
