Vice President Kashim Shettima joined senators in the upper chamber of the National Assembly to pay glowing tribute to late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah.

Ifeanyi Ubah who died on July 26 in the United Kingdom represented Anambra South Senatorial District in the 9th and 10th senate.

Before commencement of the valedictory session, the remains of late Ubah were laid in state at the foyer of the Senate chamber.

Wife, children and relatives of the late senator were also present at the session.

Also present were the former governor of Anambra state and former Minister of Labour, Sen. Chris Ngige, Wife of President of Senate, Mrs Nneoma Akpabio and wives of other lawmakers.

Shettima, in his tribute, said the late Ubah’s generosity knew no bounds, describing him as a good man.
Lawmakers took turns to eulogise the late Senator saying his sad demise is a huge loss not just to his state but the country at large.
In his tribute, President of the Senate Godswill, condoled the family of Ubah, describing him as an accomplished businessman and consummate politician.
late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream until his death.
