(VIDEO) Police Parade Suspected Kidnappers, Bandits In Abuja

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has arrested and paraded 14 suspects in connection with kidnapping, murder, banditry, vandalism, among other heinous crimes.

The Suspects, according to the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi were arrested in connection with armed robbery, kidnapping, homicide, unlawful possession of firearms, rape and defilement, cultism and other sundry crimes

The total number of firearms recovered includes 185 with a total number of 4,087 ammunition of various calibers recovered, 111 vehicles recovered while 129 kidnapped victims were rescued.

The police said 284 firearms, 6,702 ammunition of various calibres have been recovered 107 vehicles recovered and 97 victims rescued.

ACP Adejobi, while parading 14 suspects arrested by the FID/IRT in Abuja, highlighted the progress made in the force’s efforts to combat crime in Nigeria.

Adejobi also revealed that a three man gang syndicate were arrested in connection with gun running operation in Bauchi state

While speaking with Journalists, one of the suspects, who was an Instructor on weapon handling for the youths in his community confessed to haven stolen the PKT machine gun and an unspecified number of ammunitions from a Boko Haram terrorist abandoned vehicle.

Other suspects also confessed to the crimes they were arrested in connection with.

Items recovered from the suspects paraded include 15 Ak 47 rifles, 7 pistols, 571 rounds of life ammunition of various caliber, 7.62 MM live ammunition and some cartridges.
