(VIDEO) PDP Sweeps Adamawa Local Government Elections

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has secured a comprehensive victory in Adamawa State, winning all 21 local council chairmanship positions in the recent local government elections.

Announcing the results, Chairman of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission, Mohammad Umar, stated that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) won a single councilorship seat in Demsa ward. Meanwhile, the PDP claimed 225 out of the 226 available councilorship seats across the state.

Umar also announced that certificates of return will be issued to the winners at the commission’s headquarters on Monday, July 15, 2024.
