The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has decorated eight Commissioners of Police promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG).
Egbetokun decorated the officers on Tuesday at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The Inspector-General of Police while congratulating the newly promoted officers,charged them to discharge the schedules of their new ranks within the dictates of the rule of law and citizens’ expectations as the Nigeria Police Force keep working towards a safer country for all citizens.
IG advised the newly promoted officers to be good ambassadors of the police.
One of the decorated police officers is the Federal Capital Territory Commissioner, Benneth Igweh.

The Inspector-General of Police however ordered the posting of the newly promoted officers to various commands and formations.
