In an effort to mitigate economic hardship, a humanitarian organization has donated food and non-food items worth millions of Naira to 500 less privileged persons in Adamawa State.

The President of Emnamu foundation Emmanuel Nathan spearheaded the distribution of these items.

He explained that this initiative was part of the foundation’s continuous efforts to address the prevailing economic difficulties in the country.

The donation event coincided with the Thanksgiving Mass of Most Rev. Stephen Dami Mamza, the former state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese.

He urged affluent individuals to support the needy, referencing scriptural teachings on the importance of helping others to receive divine blessings. “The scriptures tell us to help the needy so that we can attract more blessings from our creator, both here on earth and in the hereafter,” Musa noted.

The beneficiaries were advised to use the donated items judiciously to alleviate their sufferings. Among the items distributed were bags of rice and maize, salt, vegetable oil, Maggi cubes, mattresses, wrappers, and a cash donation of fifty thousand Naira (N50,000) each.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support. Susan Jonathan and Diminis Maifuro extended their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Musa and the Emamu Foundation.
