The Nigerian Senate has officially confirmed Professor Abdullahi Usman as the Chairman of the Hajj Commission.
The confirmation of Usman’s nomination followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, chaired by Senator Abubakar Bello on Thursday.
Senator Bello, in his report following the screening conducted by his committee, said that Usman merited being appointed to head the nation’s apex Hajj Body.
The confirmation was finalized with a supportive voice vote led by President of the Senate GodsWill Akpabio.
With this new role, Usman is set to enhance Nigeria’s Hajj management and services.
