A former first lady of Kwara Deaconess Omolewa Yetunde Ahmed has reiterated her commitment and passion for cancer eradication in Nigeria.
Omolewa Ahmed who led a road walk on through major streets in Ilorin the capital city of Kwara State said she doesn’t pray that any body, male or female ever have cancer.
The first lady said that the awareness campaign is to sensitize the people in early detection of signs as the only way treatment can start early before the ailment escalates.
She also stated that her passion for the campaign comes from the fact that she lost close ones to cancer which is the reason she also facilitated a movie titled Diamond in the Sky to further reach out and educate Nigerians about the virus.
One of the lead actors in the Movie, Diamond in the Sky, Omowumi Dada said that the movie is aimed sensitizing Nigerians on the ailment.
She said there is a need for better collaboration between health practitioners and Nollywood in the fight agains Cancer.
