Nigeria’s police Chief, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun says that crime rates have reduced across the country.
He assured Nigerians of improved security measures.
Egbetokun made the statement after a security meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, where the security Chiefs presented security briefs
The Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, also spoke to newsmen. He said the military is taking steps to restore full oil production, targeting 2.1 million barrels per day.
He warned criminals involved in infrastructure destruction and crude oil theft that their days are numbered, and that the military would come after them.
The meeting with the president is coming ahead of plans by some Nigerians to protest nationwide against insecurity and food crisis.
