(VIDEO) Court Scraps Ondo LCDAs
An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure, the state capital has scrapped the 33 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) created by the administration of late former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The court declared the creation as unconstitutional and illegal.
Presiding Judge, Justice A.O Adebusuoye, said the LCDAs were not lawfully created.
The establishment of these LCDAs marked the fulfilment of Governor Akeredolu’s campaign promises to meet the aspirations of the people for enhanced grassroots development.
