The United Nations first held a press conference to give an update on the humanitarian activities carried out in the past five days following the flood that ransacked residents from their homes and left half of the capital submerged.

The UN resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Nigeria, Mohammed Malick Fall said it is focused on ensuring that those affected and trapped are rescued.
