An Iranian-made drone hit Israel in the early hours of Friday leaving one person dead and at least 10 people Injured in a neighborhood close to the US Embassy in Tel Aviv.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Israeli military says it has launched an investigation into the attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a statement, it said initial findings indicated the explosion had been caused by the falling of an “aerial target”, which was not intercepted because of human error.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iranian-backed Yemen\u2019s Houthi militants have claimed responsibility for the attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

The group announced earlier on social media that they would reveal details about a military operation that had targeted Tel Aviv.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Israeli military said further that it was increasing air patrols to prevent more attacks, while the city’s mayor said they were on high alert, according to local media.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The whole building shook,” Alon, a local resident, told Haaretz.<\/span><\/p>\n

“My neighbours’ windows shattered, so I was sure something had hit the building. It was only when I went outside that I realized that several buildings had been damaged.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The incident also came after the Israeli military confirmed the killing of a senior commander of the Hezbollah militia in southern Lebanon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hezbollah and Israel have traded fire across the border since Hezbollah launched rockets a day after Israel began its military offensive on Gaza in response to Hamas’s deadly attack on Israel on 7 October.<\/span><\/p>\n

The attacks of Hezbollah\"\" and the Houthis against Israel are based on their solidarity with the Palestinians.<\/span><\/p>\n
