{"id":34,"date":"2024-06-21T21:57:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-21T21:57:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swifteradio.com\/update\/?p=34"},"modified":"2024-06-21T21:57:47","modified_gmt":"2024-06-21T21:57:47","slug":"we-will-not-evict-ado-bayero-from-palace-police-ignore-governors-order","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swifteradio.com\/update\/we-will-not-evict-ado-bayero-from-palace-police-ignore-governors-order\/","title":{"rendered":"We Will Not Evict Ado Bayero From Palace \u2013 Police Defy Governor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">The Police Commissioner in Kano State, Usaini Gumel, has said the Police will not evict the deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero from his Nasarawa Palace.<\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Mr Gumel said the Police would not carry out the eviction order due to the legal tussle surrounding the matter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The police boss said that the Kano State government had filed an eviction order before the state High Court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The state government directed the Police in the state to evict Bayero from his Nasarawa Palace to pave the way for renovations. That was on Thursday night.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The eviction order was issued by the state\u2019s Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Haruna Dederi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">But the police boss said obeying the eviction order would amount to preempting the courts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Gumel said the government is jumping the gun because the same government has filed a case on the eviction order, which is coming up on the 24th of June, 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Police Commissioner in Kano State, Usaini Gumel, has said the Police will not evict the deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero from his Nasarawa Palace.
