{"id":2656,"date":"2024-06-21T21:42:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-21T21:42:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swifteradio.com\/update\/restore\/?p=2656"},"modified":"2024-06-21T21:42:47","modified_gmt":"2024-06-21T21:42:47","slug":"bulldozers-set-to-demolish-bayeros-nasarawa-palace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swifteradio.com\/update\/bulldozers-set-to-demolish-bayeros-nasarawa-palace\/","title":{"rendered":"Bulldozers Set To Demolish Bayero\u2019s Nasarawa Palace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bulldozers and other excavation equipment have been seen moving towards the Nasarawa Palace, the residence of Aminu Ado Bayero, the deposed 15th Emir of Kano State.<\/p>\n<p>This follows Friday\u2019s action by security forces to block all entrances to the mini palace, reportedly to prevent chaos during the planned demolition.<\/p>\n<p>The Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, has directed law enforcement to remove Aminu Ado from the Nasarawa Palace.<\/p>\n<p>Officials claim the palace is slated for demolition to make it possible for reconstruction and renovation.<\/p>\n<p>The State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Haruna Isa Dederi, alongside the Secretary to the State Government Baffa Bichi, announced this decision during a press conference at the government house.<\/p>\n<p>Dederi said that Bayero is trespassing on government property and that the State Commissioner of Police has been instructed to remove him.<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner also said that Muhammadu Sanusi II remains the 16th Emir of Kano.
