No official cause of death has been released.<\/p>\n<p>The two-time Cup Series champion had been scheduled to compete in Sunday\u2019s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway before news of his hospitalization emerged earlier Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Known by fans as \u201cRowdy\u201d and \u201cWild Thing,\u201d Busch built one of the most remarkable careers in NASCAR history, winning championships in 2015 and 2019 while becoming the winningest driver across NASCAR\u2019s three national series.<\/p>\n<p>Over a career spanning more than two decades, Busch earned 63 Cup Series victories, 102 O\u2019Reilly Auto Parts Series wins and 69 Truck Series victories \u2014 records that cemented his place among the sport\u2019s all-time greats.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, NASCAR described Busch as \u201ca rare talent\u201d and \u201ca future Hall of Famer\u201d whose passion and competitiveness helped define an era of stock car racing.<\/p>\n<p>Busch was also recognized for building a devoted fan following known as \u201cRowdy Nation\u201d and mentoring young drivers through his Truck Series team ownership.<\/p>\n<p>The Las Vegas native was the younger brother of Kurt Busch, a NASCAR Hall of Famer.<\/p>\n<p>The shocking news sent waves through the motorsports world, with current and former drivers sharing emotional tributes online.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran driver Brad Keselowski wrote, \u201cAbsolute shock. Very hard to process,\u201d while longtime rival and former teammate Denny Hamlin said, \u201cAbsolutely cannot comprehend this news.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr. reflected on his complicated relationship with Busch, saying the two eventually overcame years of rivalry and disagreement.<\/p>\n<p>Busch recently showed signs of regaining form after winning a Truck Series race at Dover last weekend.
