Police in Brockville have arrested a 17-year-old following the discovery of three bodies inside a residence in what investigators are calling a deeply sensitive and complex homicide case.<\/p>\n
According to authorities, officers responded to a 911 emergency call at approximately 11:30 a.m. Thursday at a home located on Cartier Court. Upon arrival, police found three deceased individuals inside the residence and immediately classified the deaths as suspicious based on evidence gathered at the scene.<\/p>\n
Investigators later received additional information that directed them to another property on the outskirts of Brockville. Police say a 17-year-old suspect connected to the incident was located at that address and taken into custody.<\/p>\n
The teenager has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder as well as assaulting a police officer. Due to Canada\u2019s Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identity of the accused cannot be publicly released.<\/p>\n
Authorities confirmed that the incident was not random and stated that the victims and the accused were known to one another.<\/p>\n
In a statement, police described the investigation as \u201csensitive and complex\u201d while acknowledging the emotional impact the tragedy has had on the victims\u2019 families, loved ones, and the wider community.<\/p>\n
