Billionaire Chip Wilson, founder of Lululemon, has once again made headlines by posting a third provocative billboard targeting the B.C. NDP government, just days before the provincial election. The sign, strategically placed outside Wilson\u2019s multimillion-dollar home in NDP Leader David Eby\u2019s riding, questions the party’s ability to govern effectively.<\/p>\n

Wilson’s latest message to voters reads, “If David Eby and the NDP can\u2019t balance B.C.\u2019s budget, what right do they have to tell us how to live our lives?” This marks the third time the billionaire has publicly criticized the NDP’s handling of the province’s finances.<\/p>\n

The NDP\u2019s election platform has drawn attention for its potential economic impact, with projections suggesting a drop in government revenue by over $1.5 billion. Additionally, the provincial budget deficit is forecasted to rise to $9.6 billion next year under the current NDP leadership.<\/p>\n

Wilson\u2019s first sign, which labeled the NDP as \u201ccommunist,\u201d was followed by a second billboard claiming Eby \u201cgives money away that he has already taken from voters.\u201d Both of these signs were vandalized shortly after being displayed.<\/p>\n

B.C. Conservative Leader John Rustad initially aligned with Wilson’s first message but distanced himself from the second, emphasizing that the Conservative party is not planning tax cuts for billionaires.<\/p>\n

Despite the criticism, Eby has remained unfazed, using the billboards to reinforce his party’s focus on supporting the most vulnerable in society.<\/p>\n
