A woman is in critical and life-threatening condition after being struck by a school bus in Toronto\u2019s east end on October 9, 2024. The incident occurred just after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Kingswood and Kingston Roads, west of Victoria Park Avenue. Emergency crews quickly responded and transported the woman to the hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n
Details surrounding the collision are still unclear, and Kingston Road was temporarily closed between Scarborough Road and Bingham Avenue for the investigation, although it has since reopened.<\/p>\n
This incident is part of a troubling pattern, as Toronto police also responded to two other collisions the same afternoon. Around 4:25 p.m., a motorcycle and another vehicle collided at Lake Shore Boulevard West and Third Street, resulting in serious but non-life-threatening injuries for a male motorcyclist. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and the cause of the collision is under investigation.<\/p>\n
