The Canadian snowboarder, known for his involvement in a vast transnational drug trafficking network, has evaded capture for nearly a decade despite facing serious charges, including murder and drug trafficking.<\/p>\n
According to Ontario court records obtained by CBC, U.S. officials tracked Wedding, the alleged leader of a $1 billion drug ring, to Mexico, where he allegedly met with accomplices, including his “second in command,” Andrew Clark. The former Olympian and his associate are said to have connections to the infamous Sinaloa Cartel. The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.<\/p>\n
The indictment, released last week, charges Wedding and Clark with orchestrating numerous crimes, including a mistaken revenge killing in Caledon, Ontario, linked to a stolen cocaine shipment.
