The 44-year-old’s estranged husband, Donald James Danchella, has been charged with second-degree murder following her death. According to the RCMP, Lindsay suffered fatal injuries during an alleged assault and later died in the hospital.
The incident unfolded as Lindsay, who was dedicated to her two-year-old son, visited the Montrose residence of her estranged husband to facilitate a custody exchange. Wiley described her friend as a generous soul, loved by her colleagues at the Kiro Wellness Centre, where a vigil was held in her memory.
