Rory McIlroy Addresses Injury Concern Ahead of The Masters

Rory McIlroy admits he has “stuff to work on” before The Masters after a solid showing at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. The Northern Irishman finished tied for fifth but revealed a right elbow issue that has been bothering him. With The Masters set for April 10-13, McIlroy plans to seek treatment and work with coach Michael Bannon to fine-tune his game.

Despite early struggles in Houston, McIlroy improved daily, finishing with a strong final-round 64. His adjustments off the tee paid off, ranking second in strokes-gained-off-the-tee on Sunday. Currently leading the FedExCup standings, McIlroy aims to complete his career Grand Slam at Augusta, where he will compete alongside world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who also seeks improvement ahead of his title defense.
