Second Edition of Community Trade Fair Draws Nearly 3,000 Attendees, Organizers Eye International Expansion

The recently concluded second edition of the popular Community Trade Fair was a resounding success, drawing an impressive turnout of nearly 3,000 attendees and featuring close to 100 vendors from various creative and commercial backgrounds. The event, which took place in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, showcased a wide range of products and services, from arts and crafts to fashion, food, wellness, and more.

Organizers Celebrate Massive Turnout and Plan for Global Reach

Co-organizer/co-founder, Olubunmi Agbaje—fondly known as Diva—expressed her excitement over the event’s success. “This edition was a big win for us. We had close to 100 vendors and about 3,000 attendees. The energy was incredible,” she said. Agbaje further revealed that the next edition of the trade fair is set to go international. “We’re expanding and taking this to the global stage, but we will need more sponsors and partners to achieve that goal,” she added.

Tolulope Adebayo, co-organizer/co-founder, echoed Agbaje’s sentiments, emphasizing the satisfaction of seeing their hard work come to fruition. “It was a beautiful and successful event. The turnout was amazing, and it made all our planning efforts worthwhile. I’m truly grateful,” Adebayo said.

Vendors Share Positive Experiences and Business Growth

Vendors at the event also had glowing feedback about their experience. Toluwalope Toludare, a talented potter and ceramist, described the trade fair as a breakthrough opportunity for his business. “The experience was very amazing. I met a lot of people who appreciated my art, and I made a lot of sales. I was happy to be among my fellow Nigerians and connect with a supportive audience. I’m definitely looking forward to the next edition,” he said.

Shoppers Enjoy Unique Finds and Community Vibes

Customers also left with smiles and shopping bags full of unique items. One of the attendees, Imoleayo, remarked, “The event was really amazing. I got a lot of beautiful things for myself, and I love the lively atmosphere.”

Diversity and Inclusion at the Heart of the Event

Abiola Rasak, a member of the organizing committee, highlighted the inclusive nature of the trade fair, noting that it was not limited to the Black community alone. “We deeply appreciate the community for coming out in large numbers to support the program. This trade fair isn’t just for Black entrepreneurs—white attendees and vendors are also joining in, which shows how inclusive and welcoming this platform has become,” he said.

A Promising Future for Community Trade Fair

With its second edition drawing a record-breaking crowd and delivering strong outcomes for vendors and attendees alike, the Community Trade Fair is fast becoming a major hub for cultural exchange, business growth, and community empowerment. As plans are set in motion for international expansion, organizers are calling on sponsors, partners, and stakeholders to support the vision of making the trade fair a global celebration of diversity and entrepreneurship.
