Russia Launches Drone Strikes on Ukraine After Rejecting Ceasefire Proposal, Promises Future Talks
Tensions in Eastern Europe escalated once again as Russian forces launched a series of drone attacks on Ukrainian targets shortly after the Kremlin declined a proposed ceasefire agreement. Despite the military escalation, Moscow has stated it remains open to diplomatic negotiations in the future, sending mixed signals to the international community.
According to Ukrainian defense officials, the latest wave of drone strikes targeted key infrastructure sites in multiple regions, causing damage but no immediate reports of mass casualties. Ukrainian forces, he added, remain resolute in defending national sovereignty.
International observers have expressed concern over the renewed hostilities, warning that the rejection of ceasefire terms and ongoing drone warfare could derail fragile peace efforts.
