Qatar Airways announced its strongest financial performance ever for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, reporting revenues of QAR86 billion ($23.5 billion) and a net profit of QAR7.8 billion ($2.1 billion). The airline group, including Qatar Airways Cargo and Qatar Duty Free, carried 43.1 million passengers, a rise of over 3 million from the previous year. CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer credited the achievement to the dedication of the company’s 55,000 employees and highlighted the company’s focus on talent development through its Qatar Airways 2.0 strategy.
During FY2024/2025, Qatar Airways expanded its airline investment portfolio by acquiring 25% stakes in South Africa’s Airlink and Virgin Australia, increasing its holdings to six airline groups, including International Airlines Group, Cathay Pacific, China Southern Airlines, and LATAM Airlines. The airline continues to enhance its service offerings, including the award-winning Qsuite and complimentary Starlink internet on its 777 fleet.
Qatar Airways also secured a historic order for up to 210 Boeing aircraft, positioning itself to meet growing global demand while maintaining its premium passenger experience. This deal, announced alongside a visit from former U.S. President Donald Trump, reflects the airline’s strategic growth ambitions.
