WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump has officially been sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, alongside Vice President J.D. Vance. The historic event marks the 60th presidential inauguration, with a celebratory parade held at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.’s Chinatown neighborhood.

Trump’s motorcade traveled through Penn Quarter, adding to the day’s festivities as the nation witnessed the beginning of a new administration. The indoor parade brought together a diverse lineup of participants, highlighting both Trump’s and Vance’s personal and political roots.

The parade showcased performances by the U.S. Army Field Band from Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. Several other groups from key locations tied to President Trump and Vice President Vance joined the celebration, making it a symbolic reflection of their journeys to public office.

Representatives from Trump’s alma mater, the New York Military Academy, participated in honor of the President’s 1964 graduation from the prestigious institution. Additionally, the police and fire honor guard from Palm Beach, Florida – Trump’s current residence – took part, paying tribute to the President’s ties to the Sunshine State.

The parade also featured the NYPD Emerald Society fife and drum corps, adding a distinctly New York flair to the event.

Vice President J.D. Vance’s roots were also celebrated. A high school marching band and cheerleading squad from his hometown of Middletown, Ohio, performed during the parade, reflecting the local pride surrounding Vance’s ascent to national leadership.

A Unique Celebration for a Historic Inauguration

Unlike traditional outdoor parades along Pennsylvania Avenue, this year’s inaugural parade was held indoors, ensuring a controlled and vibrant setting at the Capital One Arena. Thousands of attendees gathered to witness the event, celebrating the start of the Trump-Vance administration.

This inauguration marks a return to the presidency for Donald Trump, who previously served as the 45th President of the United States from 2017 to 2021. With J.D. Vance, a former U.S. Senator from Ohio, as his Vice President, the duo has promised a renewed focus on economic growth, national security, and America-first policies.

As the festivities continue, the Trump-Vance administration enters the White House, poised to tackle the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
