Porter Airlines is set to expand its U.S. operations with new daily flights to LaGuardia Airport (LGA), starting May 1, 2025. Travelers can choose from up to three daily round-trips between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and LaGuardia, terminating at the newly renovated Terminal B, designed for enhanced convenience and passenger comfort.
Terminal B at LaGuardia has undergone a $5.1 billion renovation, boasting modern amenities, spacious waiting areas, advanced security checkpoints, and a variety of dining and shopping options.
Through Toronto Pearson, passengers can connect seamlessly to Canadian destinations such as Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax. Additionally, Porter’s partnership with JetBlue provides access to southern U.S. destinations, ensuring a smooth travel experience for leisure and business travelers alike.
Porter Airlines will operate these routes using the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, equipped with 132 seats and no middle seats for greater comfort. Complimentary high-speed WiFi, premium snacks, and beverages served in real glassware elevate the onboard experience. Passengers can choose between PorterClassic fares for à la carte options or PorterReserve fares for priority check-in, extra legroom, and flexible booking options.
Porter’s New York presence dates back to 2008 with service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ). The airline now operates up to 15 daily round-trips between Canada and the New York area, solidifying its role as a leader in Canada-U.S. air travel.
Andrew Pierce, Porter Airlines’ vice president of network planning, emphasized the significance of this expansion, noting its potential to attract new customers while providing additional options for existing travelers. LaGuardia officials also praised the move, highlighting the benefits of enhanced connectivity and Terminal B’s world-class facilities.
