Paul Simon fans in Toronto and Vancouver can look forward to an intimate concert experience as the legendary singer-songwriter announced his Quiet Celebration tour, beginning April 4 in New Orleans. Toronto’s Massey Hall will host Simon on May 27, May 28, and May 30, while Vancouver’s Orpheum Theatre will feature performances on July 25, July 26, and July 28.
The tour marks Simon’s return to live performances since his 2018 farewell tour, thanks to a stage setup developed with Stanford University’s hearing loss experts. The production allows Simon to overcome hearing challenges that surfaced during the creation of his 2023 album, Seven Psalms. The acoustic suite, inspired by a dream, reflects on faith, God, and meaning.
Simon’s storied career includes induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Grammy Hall of Fame, and a Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Tickets for the Toronto and Vancouver shows go on sale Friday, with a pre-sale available Thursday.
