Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois will meet again in a blockbuster undisputed heavyweight title fight at Wembley Stadium on July 19, 2025. The rematch comes nearly two years after their controversial first bout, where Usyk defeated Dubois in nine rounds after a disputed low blow ruling.
Since then, Usyk cemented his legacy by defeating Tyson Fury to become boxing’s first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years. However, commitments to a Fury rematch prevented him from fulfilling his IBF mandatory against Dubois, forcing him to vacate the IBF belt. Dubois was subsequently upgraded to full champion status.
Dubois (now IBF champion) defended his title by knocking out Anthony Joshua at Wembley and is now eager to avenge his only defeat. “This is the fight I wanted and demanded,” said Dubois. “I should have won the first fight and was denied by the referee’s judgement. This time, there will be no mistake.”
Meanwhile, Usyk (WBC, WBA, WBO champion) is determined to reclaim his IBF belt. “Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt—now I want it back,” Usyk said.
The highly anticipated clash takes precedence over mandatory defenses, with Usyk ordered to face Joseph Parker for the WBO title and Derek Chisora named as Dubois’ IBF challenger. Promoter Frank Warren hailed the rematch as a historic sporting event, promising an unforgettable night at Wembley.
