A 39-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot while riding his bicycle in Winnipeg’s North End on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. near Mountain Avenue and Salter Street, according to a police news release issued Sunday.
Responding officers found the victim with serious upper body injuries. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition, which was later upgraded to stable.
A witness reported hearing multiple gunshots before seeing the man injured on the ground, confirming he had been shot while cycling.
