Juventus have parted ways with manager Thiago Motta after just nine months, replacing him with Croatian coach Igor Tudor. Motta, 42, leaves the club with the 36-time Serie A champions sitting fifth, one point outside the Champions League qualification spots.
His departure follows back-to-back heavy defeats, a 3-0 loss at Fiorentina and a 4-0 home thrashing by Atalanta. Juventus also crashed out of the Champions League play-off round against PSV Eindhoven and failed to defend their Coppa Italia title.
Tudor, a former Juventus midfielder who made over 150 appearances for the club between 1998 and 2007, takes over immediately. The 46-year-old has previously managed Hajduk Split, Galatasaray, Udinese, Verona, Marseille, and most recently Lazio.
His first match as Juventus boss will be a Serie A home fixture against Genoa on Saturday.
